Interest-Based Advertisements Policy
This Interest-Based Advertisements Policy (the “Ad Policy”) describes our practices in connection with information we collect through software applications and websites that we operate and that contain a link to this Ad Policy (an “Application” or, together, the “Applications”).
Aetna does not conduct interest-based advertising on any Applications (or portions thereof) that are directed to children as defined under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, or where Aetna has actual knowledge that a user is under 13 years of age.
Through the Digital Advertising Alliance ("DAA"), the leading media and marketing associations have developed an industry self-regulatory program (the “Program”) to give consumers a better understanding of and greater control over ads that are customized based on their online behavior across different Web Sites. Aetna adheres to the Digital Advertising Alliance's self-regulatory principles for online behavioral advertising (http://www.aboutads.info/obaprinciples).
The Digital Advertising Alliance maintains a web site where consumers can opt out from receiving interest-based advertising from some or all of the network advertising companies participating in the program (www.AboutAds.info/choices).
